Happy New Year to all Eastchester Rotarians! May the coming year be fruitful and prosperous.

We have made our resolutions for the year for our business life and our personal life. But what about our Rotary Life? What are we doing for resolutions for the Club? Here are four that tie in with John Bahr's 50/50/50 program.

1. Resolve to attend more meetings.
2. Bring one new member into the Eastchester Rotary in 2006.
3. Help support our fund raisers(The Tea and Golf Tournament) by bring people who will pay and play.
4. Help with programs (Keep the meetings interesting!)

If we all did just a little, then the Club would be even more dynamic. Happy New Rotary Year!!!!

Gold Star Mother Memorial!! The Home of the Gold Star Mothers Tribute has been determined. The American Legion & VFW are in the process of obtaining funds for the memorial. Their new organization, The Home of the Gold Star Mothers Tribute, has been formed to complete the monument in Eastchester and to help all who would erect monuments all across this great nation. Any Mother that has lost a child should receive our tribute and love. Makeup!! Need to make-up a few missed luncheons? Well, now you can with e-club. There are about 15 e-clubs...This convenience should help members out with their attendance. So, if you feel you are weak in attendance, feel free to look into the e-club. Click here for more info.

Jan. 4th We did not have a guest speaker today, but we did have a lot of info. to share. Patty Dohrewend has returned from a 6 month leave. Welcome Back Patty! Mike Fix brought a guest, Scott Tarter from The California Road Stables. Scott mentioned that the stables are being renovated and the horses are fine. Bob Siebert spoke a little about "The Tommy Fund"....this is a fund which seeks to raise money to help offset the financial burdens of parents with children who have special medical needs. Bob knows a young person named Tommy who has been through 23 surgeries. Dan Nalven spoke a little about the 6 Iraqi people who are in the U.S. receiving hospital care via the Gift Of Life program. Jan. 11th Induction ceremony for our new members. Judge David Fuller and Matt Krouse. David Fuller is sponsored by Vicki & Si Ford. He is a a judge in Tuckahoe with a practice in the lower part of Westchester. Matt Krouse is sponsored by Rich Forliano. He is an Investment Advisor with Edward D. Jones on Garth Road. He is a University of Va. graduate. Jan. 18th Club Assembly at 6:15pm. Induction ceremony for another new member - Rob Inesta. Rob is sponsored by Mike Fix. He is a Chiropracor and Sports Wellness physician with a practice in Eastchester. Jan. 25th Our guest speaker will be Linda Smith Shearer. She will talk on the Community Fund. Induction ceremony for another new member - Joe Villanueva. Joe is sponsored by Mike Fix. He is an attorney in Eastchester. His brother is also a Rotarian in Rye.
