Greetings to all Eastchester Rotarians! We are into the full swing of the year and as John Bahr recently discussed we are having an excellent year. We have already helped people in Biloxi, had an excellent golf tournament, a great soft ball tournament, supported one of our members with attendance at her play and dinner before, and some great speakers at our meetings. As we work our way into the colder months, come to our meetings. There is a great deal of happiness and friendship. Bring someone who you feel would enjoy the club. We have great meetings, great speakers, great projects, and a good times. The more the merrier! Look forward to our meetings as we look forward to seeing you.

Gold Star Mother Memorial!!
The Home of the Gold Star Mothers Tribute has been determined. The American Legion & VFW are in the process of obtaining funds for the memorial. Their new organization, The Home of the Gold Star Mothers Tribute, has been formed to complete the monument in Eastchester and to help all who would erect monuments all across this great nation. Any Mother that has lost a child should receive our tribute and love.

Need to make-up a few missed luncheons? Well, now you can with e-club. There are about 15 e-clubs...This convenience should help members out with their attendance. So, if you feel you are weak in attendance, feel free to look into the e-club.

Nov. 2nd
Steve Baker will be coming. Steve is an officer in the United States Marines and a practicing attorney in Westchester. He is also an Iraq veteran and will talk about his experiences. If you have friends who have served in the Armed Forces, this will be a great meeting. Bring them as your guest.
Nov. 9th
"Oldest Married Couple" Celebration. This is one of our Hallmark programs where we honor a couple who has had a long standing marriage. Our own Bob Russell is the MC for the day and this year we are going to honor Pauline and John Babakia from Eastchester who have been married 65 happy years. So bring a smile and listen to some words of how to maintain a happy relationship for a long time. Bob Russell has chaired this event for many years and always does a great job. We thank him for his participation in the club programs.
Nov. 16th
Our speaker on this day will be Tina Staudt. Tina will be representing the Jansen Memorial Hospice which we have supported for over 40 years. Listen to the new projects and see the wonderful things that they do. Be aware that Joan Mallory who spoke to us in the summer will also be a guest and she will have Caroline from Ghana who will have gone through her cosmetic surgery. Our thanks to Alan Benedict for arranging this.
Nov. 23rd
The day before Thanksgiving will be an open meeting. Bring a funny story or a joke, but just look for the fraternity and conviviality of meeting with good friends.
Nov. 30th
Phyllis Rothschild will discuss her trip to Italy with students from the Eastchester High School. Here are the places to go when you go to Bella Italia. This is part of our travel series.
